The software is free. You pay a percentage of what you actually take.
HolidayPitches charges 1% of each booking, deducted automatically when the guest pays. Run more than one kind of business on the platform and it rises by 1% each, to a ceiling of 4%. A quiet week with no bookings costs you nothing, because there is nothing to take a percentage of.
What you pay, and why it moves
The fee starts at 1% and adds 1% for each additional business type you run — camping, holiday park, marina, holiday lets, glamping, activity hire. There are six of those and the ceiling is four, which is deliberate: a park doing five or six things pays the same as a park doing four.
A touring and camping park, or holiday lets on their own.
A touring park that also runs glamping pods.
A holiday park with static caravans, camping and activity hire.
The ceiling. Add a fifth or sixth business type and it stays at 4%.
4% is a ceiling, not a starting point. It is written into the code that calculates the fee, not just into this page. However many business types you add, the platform fee cannot go above it.
Where the money actually goes
Guests pay into your Stripe account, not ours. We never hold your takings.
The guest pays you
The full booking amount lands in your own Stripe account, connected to your own bank. There is no middleman account and no payout schedule of ours to wait on.
The platform fee is deducted
Your percentage is taken at the moment of payment as a Stripe application fee. Nothing to invoice, nothing to chase, nothing to reconcile at month end.
Stripe takes its own fee
Stripe charges its standard card processing fee separately, as it would with any payment provider. That is Stripe’s charge, not ours, and it is not included in the percentage above.
Food and bar orders taken through the platform are charged on the same basis as bookings. Payments you take yourself — cash at reception, a bank transfer, a card machine of your own — go through none of this and are charged nothing.
Everything we don't charge you for
There is one plan and every campsite is on it. Nothing on this list is an upsell we have not built yet — these are all live features, included from the day you register.
Pricing questions
Is it really free to start?
Yes. You register, set up your pitches and publish your booking site without paying anything. The first time HolidayPitches costs you a penny is the first time a guest pays you.
What happens in the off-season?
Nothing is owed. The fee is a percentage of bookings taken, so a month with no bookings costs nothing. There is no minimum, no dormancy charge and no requirement to keep a subscription running over winter.
Can the percentage go up later?
Your percentage moves only when you add or remove a business type on your own account — that is what the ladder above describes. The 4% ceiling is a published promise and is enforced in the code that calculates every fee.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes, and it stays yours. Connecting it takes a few minutes during registration. Your payouts, your bank details, your Stripe dashboard — we never hold guest money on your behalf.
Is there a contract or notice period?
No contract, no minimum term and no exit fee. Your data is yours and exports to CSV or XLS whenever you want it.
What about a park with several sites?
Each park runs as its own site with its own pitches, pricing and booking page, under one group login. The fee is worked out per booking on the site that took it.
Nothing to pay until a guest pays you
Register your campsite, connect Stripe, and your booking site is live. No card details needed to get started, because there is no subscription to start.
