Adding the bank account you get paid into
Stripe can take the payment, but has nowhere to send the money.
What has happened
Stripe needs a bank account before it will pay anything out. Until one is added, takings can build up in your Stripe balance with no way of reaching you — so this is worth doing straight away.
What to do
- Go to Settings, then Continue Stripe setup.
- Find the payouts or bank account step.
- Enter the sort code and account number of a business account in the same name as the business you gave Stripe.
- Save, and come back and run "Test my payments".
It must match the business
Stripe will reject an account in a different name from the business on the Stripe account. If your park trades as a limited company, the bank account must be the company's, not a personal one.
Changing it later
You can change the payout account at any time from the same place. A change can pause payouts briefly while Stripe verifies the new account.
Check it for yourself
Open Settings in your park admin and press Test my payments. It asks Stripe directly and lists anything still outstanding. It changes nothing, so run it as often as you like.
